Shepherding Team

A well as our ministry leadership team, we are lucky to have a competent group of mature members who comprise the shepherding team. They are:

John and Rose Partington have been married for forty-three years. They have one son Chris who is married and a grandson, Seth who is three years old. They have served in several ministry capacities of the London church and from 1995 – 2001 as an eldership couple. They both have trained and practised as counsellors. John a BA Honours and Rose a BSc (Roehampton). John worked for six years as the lead therapist for the ODAAT drug and alcohol rehab programme of HOPEworldwide. Since retiring in 2012 they have volunteered with the development of the work of HOPEworldwide Zambia, caring for widows and vulnerable children.

Tony and Karen have been following Jesus for over 25 years. They have three children and live in Ascot. They have been part of the Thames Valley church for 20 years.

Johan and Sharron have been married for 48 years and are grandparents several times over. They were baptised in 1993 in the Johannesburg Church of Christ. They moved to Wells, Somerset in 2003 where they served our Bristol sister-church with great love and perseverance. When Johan retired from his full-time occupation in 2016 they moved to Wokingham to join their daughter and her family in our congregation. They also have a son who lives in Johannesburg with his family.

Mikko and Anna-Kaisa are known for their hospitality. Living in Reading, they have one daughter, but a large extended family of all those who have enjoyed their cooking and warm company.
