“Everything you need to know about the gift for the poor, 2018”

Recently JP gave an inspiring and informative presentation on the work of HOPE worldwide in Nepal.  He told us what had already been done, and what the vision was for the future.

His involvement most directly is in guiding the building of a factory.

Our part in Thames Valley will be to raise money to assist the farmers in making the most of the factory.

The way we will do this is by taking a collection in July, the first £30,000 of which will go to supplying micro-loans to the farmers.

All the details are in the attached TV Gift for the Poor.

Here is the TV Pledge sheet.

If you have any questions, please ask John himself.  We are very grateful to him for his enthusiasm, compassion and vision.

God bless, Malcolm

Galatians 2: 10  – “All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.”

Day of Prayer and Fasting May 4, 2015

The leaders of the International Churches of Christ and of HOPE worldwide are asking for anyone who can and is willing to pray and fast in solidarity on Monday, May 4, 2015 for these needs:

HOPE worldwide leadership selection:

The HOPEww Board will begin interviewing applicants for the key roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer who will lead our charity into the next era. With our mission to preach, teach and heal as Jesus did, these decisions are crucial to see that we do our best to help the oppressed, the hungry and the homeless.

Nepal Disaster Relief:

HOPEww was among the first responders to help the tragic earthquake victims in Nepal. The HOPE worldwide school remains a hopeful light in Kathmandu. Volunteers at the school have been providing meals and shelter for those who have been displaced. Watch DisciplesToday.org and hopeww.org for frequent updates.

Pray, fast and serve someone.

No, this is the kind of fasting I want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people. Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
