“How to have beautiful hands”
In today's service we examine our hands and how they can be used for good.
“Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.” Mk 8:25
God made everything “very good”(Gen 1.31). Our behaviour damaged the beauty of creation. But Jesus came to give us hope of a more beautiful future. The beauty of his touch revealed divine compassion and power.
What will it take for us to participate in the beauty of God’s creation? How can we inspire other people to see beyond this damaged world to the beauty on offer? By the time we are finished today we should all have a better idea. Let’s use our hands to create and recreate beauty around us.
